It is so important to realize that we all need to be redeemed from sin. Because of sin, Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden of Eden. Because of sin, God judged the world by sending a global flood. When God chose Israel to be His people, He introduced His people to His plan of redemption from sin through the sacrifice system (the day of Atonement for example).
The word Salvation is not only a New Testament concept. In fact, the Old Testament is an important source in understanding salvation.
In the book of Isaiah, chapter 64, verse 5 we read: ...“You are indeed angry, for we have sinned. In these ways we continue; And we need to be saved.” Another example is found in Psalm 118:21-24: “I thank you that You have answered me and have become my salvation. The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Salvation from sin is the most important message God can speak to men. The Lord provided the answer to sin. The above verse speaks of that day that the Lord has made. The Psalmist refers to the day when the Savior, Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, whom “the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” The main point in this is that “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” And “I thank you that You have answered me and have become my salvation.”
Here is another verse concerning your Salvation through Yeshua the Messiah.
Isaiah 53, verse 6: ”We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Now let me lead you through three simple steps to receive your Salvation from sin today!
1. Realize that your sin separates you from God:
God’s Word shows us that the result of sin is death. He says in His Word: "There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).
And God also said, "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2).
Paul the apostle states in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." And in Romans 6:23 we read: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus the Messiah our Lord."
2. Accept the fact that God has provided only one solution to sin:
Yeshua the Messiah, is the only way to God. Only He can reconcile us to God the Father. Mankind may seek other solutions and worship other gods, but Jesus the Messiah, alone, died on the Cross for our sins and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and mankind. The Bible explains: "But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us" (Romans 5:8).
We are also told, "For Messiah also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
There is only one way: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Yeshua the Messiah" (1Timothy 2:5).
For in John 14:6 we read, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
3. Receive Yeshua the Messiah as Your Savior and Lord. Invite Him into your life by repenting from all of your sins. Open the Bible, God’s Word and let the Lord begin to speak to you and lead you in all of His truth!
