The Dry Bones

I believe that we are living in very significant prophetic moment. More and more Jewish people are turning to God and recognizing Yeshua, Jesus as their Messiah. This is not only a significant moment; it is the destiny that God has set before them.

In Ezekiel 37, Verses 2-6, the hand of the Lord was upon the prophet, and set him down in the midst of the valley that was full of bones: “2Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord”.’ ”

This happened once before to Israel, when God took them out of Babylon and brought them back to the land, and it is happening again in our times. Take a closer look.

First, God said that he would bring the bones together (Verse 7), which has already happened. In 1948, the nation of Israel was reborn; the land was given to the Jewish people so that they could return home. The second prophecy appears in Verse 8: “Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.”

The word ‘breath’ in Hebrew is ‘Ruah’, which means the spirit. In 1967, God placed Jerusalem back in the hands of the Jewish people, which indicates that the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and Israel has grown stronger and stronger. They have developed great technology, and their army is one of the strongest armies in the world. The Jewish people have rebuilt the Promised Land, Israel, and made it into the blooming and prosperous land that it is today. The flowers that grow in Israel today are distributed throughout the world. Their industry is growing; the cities are flourishing; and the people are coming back to Israel. God is regathering the Jewish people back to their land, as He promised.

According to Ezekiel 27, there is one more prophecy that must take place, and in my opinion, it is taking place right now. Verses 9 and 10 say: “9Also Adonai said to me, “Prophesy to the breath (Ruah or the spirit), prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live”.’ ” 10So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath (Ruah) came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

Friends, this is the final part of this prophecy, which is taking place today and will continue until the Messiah returns. The Jewish people have been coming to God by the thousands through the Messiah Yeshua since 1967. When God fulfilled the second part of the prophecy, the next door was opened, and the spirit of God, the Ruah Ha Kodesh, began to come upon the Jewish people. This great move of God will not stop until God has fulfilled this prophecy, and I believe that this prophecy will be fully completed when the Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, returns and reigns in Jerusalem.

So my friends, we are living in the era of God’s breath breathing upon Israel today. We are in the midst of the revival that was prophesied in Ezekiel 37. Whether we see it or not, God is moving by his Spirit. So let me encourage you not to loose heart concerning the Jewish nation Israel. Let us continue to bring the good news of the Messiah into their lives as the Ruah Ha Kodesh, the Holy Spirit, is moving among our people.

Thank you, and God bless you.

Shalom,
