The Wealth of the World

Shalom Dear Friends,

I want to share with you some thoughts related to today’s economy.  In Luke 15 there is the story of the prodigal son.  Lacking judgment, the younger son was anxious to take his share of the father’s possession and leave to have a good life.  It was a mistake. In this parable, the father represents God and the younger son portrays the type of attitudes believers have toward money.

As the story unfolds, the younger son spends his fortune and ends up poor and broken.  We need to askourselves this question: Why did his father let this happen? For the simple reason that the son decided to do things his own way and invest his resources into the pleasures of this world. Moreover,while he was in his father’s house, he invested into his father’s economy by retaining his inheritance.

As soon as he left, he functioned outside of his father’s economy and lost everything.  We need to stay in God’s Kingdom and invest into it as well

The time is coming when the world economy will no longer be able to retain stability. The only way to survive will be through God’s Kingdom. It is pretty evident that our world economy is weak and could collapse at any point in time. The Lord spoke to me prophetically and described how His Word will be fulfilled in the last days concerning finances. God has used peaceful times to minister to us but these days are coming to an end. The Bible says in Isaiah 26:9,“ For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”

If you look through history, whenever God speaks to a nation and they do not respond to His message, God brings calamity and suffering in order to get their attention. Noah spoke to the world for almost 120 years warning them that the flood was coming. Moses pleaded with Pharaoh to let God’s people go. Because people refused to head the Word of God, the Lord brought on them judgment. God’s nation Israel was warned multiple times to turn away from idols but refused. As a result, God brought calamity upon them. The reason why God does these things is to get people to pay attention to His message. Remember that God’s message is focused on setting people free from sin in order for them to avoid eternal destruction. Yeshua said, “If your right hand sins against you pluck it out in order that your whole body may be saved.” God reaffirms this truth in Isaiah 26. It is not His will or His first choice but is often necessary.

God is going to bring to pass Mark 16:15, And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." This going to happen when the world’s economy is going to collapse and the wealth of the ungodly will fall into the hands of believers. People will be starving for the truth because they will have no other place to turn. Believers will be given supernatural resources to reach out to the thousands of people ready for the good news of the Messiah.

Let us not foolishly spend our resources on the things of this world. Rather we should invest into the Kingdom of God and plant seeds of faith expecting a harvest. This is the time to be bold and to rejoice. This is the time to get closer to God like never before and trust Him for everything He promised to do. Continue to trust God and you will be saved.
