Back to His Presence

In 1 Cor. 1:18 the bible says "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."And then God says that "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the Scribe? Where is the dispute of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since in the wisdom of God the word through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believed."In Verse 20 it says "Where is the wise?" "Where is the scribe?" Who is this religious person that is trying to figure who God is? See, Paul dealt with the Scribes and Pharisees. He knew exactly what they thought because he was one of them and he also learned to deal with Greeks as well. The Jews were full of religious wisdom and the Greeks were full of scientific wisdom.

Look what God said in Verse 21. "For since, in the wisdom on God, the world through wisdom did not know God."When God created the universe, everything was created by His infinite wisdom. Yet, the world through (such) wisdom did not know God. We can look at God's creation and see His wisdom, yet many people today through wisdom do not know God. We cannot know God by your own mind. It's impossible. The only way you can learn about God is through the Spirit of God. Therefore God said "Where is the wise? Where is the scribe?" Let them figure Me out. The bible says in Chapter 2 in verse10, "but God has revealed them(mysteries about God) to us through His (Ruach), through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”Not just the surface of who Yeshua is and what He has done, but the deep things of God. We want to know the deep things of God and it is possible! Why do we need to know the deep things of God? Because God has an answer for you in your life. So we're not only searching and learning about who God is, but also how God deals with our problems and difficulties. This can only be done by His Spirit and the Word.

Here is the next point of these teaching. In 1 Cor. 1:26 we read, "For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called."Remember, the bible says that the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, so we in the eyes of this world are foolish. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise. And God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty. In the book of John 16:13 we read, "However, when He, the helper, the spirit of truth has come He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority."In1 Cor. 2:11 we also read, "For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man."Because of sin, we did not know anything about our origin or God our Creator. Our spiritual man was dead through sin. When we were born again by the Spirit of Adonai, our spiritual man was awakened, revived from the dead, and we began to hear things from God. In Psalm 42:7, the bible says "Deep calls unto deep."God's Ruach, Spirit speaks into our spirit. Weren't we created under God's image and likeness? We are a triune being: spirit, soul and body. God said in John 16, that the Spirit of God who is not apart from God will speak to us and will guide us into all truth. Is there an absolute truth? Yes, of course. It is only with God and we are allowed to know it. It will be the Ruah Ha Kodesh that will lead us into all God's truth. Therefore Paul said in Romans, Chapter 8, verses 33-34, "Who shall bring a charge against God's elect?" Who can judge us? It is God who is justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is the Messiah who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us."They don't have a right to judge us because their spirit is dead. They don't know anything about God or you. But you know all things about them because the Spirit reveals it to you. This is why you can prophesy and move in the gifts of the Ruach ha Kodesh. This is why you can minister to them and help them. The Spirit of God is inside of you and you know all things. When God says all things it means all things.

So the Bible says walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. We don't need to walk in the flesh. We have already been walking in the flesh for a long time while living in sin. We need to walk in the Spirit. Learn to walk in the Spirit. God did not make this difficult. He already promised and said that "...the Spirit of Adonai will lead us into all truth. He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears from the Father." This is amazing! We know the Spirit of God is God, and yet He hears from God. But whatever he hears he will speak and will tell you things to come. Also, what is the Spirit of God going to do first? He will glorify Yeshua. John 16:14. Do you know how many believers today cannot say "Praise you Jesus"? You have to born again by the Spirit to do that. It's not me that is saying this; it's the Spirit of God! Thank God we have the Spirit of God! It's the Spirit of God that will not only teach you about Yeshua but will also glorify Him. It means that we would not be ashamed to speak about our Messiah. Then the bible says that “... for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you.”What is of Jesus? What is of God that the Spirit will take? We are called to walk in the power and liberty of Adonai. Yeshua, our Messiah came to set the captives free, and we somehow need to extend this to the dying world around us. Yeshua said "…greater things we will do".In John 15:14 we also read, “He will take of mine and declare it to you".The Spirit of God will take everything Yeshua has, who is the Word of God, and declare it to us. Also there is more to it. All things that the Father has is ours. Yeshua said, and He will take what is mine and declare it or install it into your life. What an amazing deal! If we would go back to 1 Corinthians 1: 26, we would understand this statement better, "For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise."

God is not looking for the wisdom of man. God is not looking for the strength of man. He knows that people are bound by sin and are in great need of deliverance. He knows that our human wisdom and strength is foolishness and weakness to Him. Therefore it is His strength and wisdom that we need. God wants to anoint us from the bottom to the top and bring victory into our life. The Spirit of God has to come and touch your life, and tune you with God. When the Spirit of God came upon Simon (Peter) in the Day of Shavuot (Pentecost) he began to speak. It was through the Spirit my friends, through that promise that God said we will receive, that three thousand Jews were saved. And you know who were saved? All kinds. Those who studied the Torah and those who knew very little. God has chosen you and I to carry His power. What happens to you when God releases His Spirit into your life and you are not walking in the flesh? First, He put your house in order. God is the God of order. When you're walking in the Spirit, you will judge things perfectly. If you look at the life of Yeshua, He spent much time with God, yet he was God. Why did He have to spent time with God being God? Because He was also in our human body. My friend, you're living in this body and all kind of attacks and hindrances and problems occur every day. God the Father is in heaven. Yeshua our Messiah was on earth in human form. Therefore He was God, fully human, yet without sin. He felt pain and hunger just as we do. This is why Yeshua is our perfect example and He wants you to be just like He was. You cannot become God but you will become a man just like He was. The question is how? If we will submit ourselves to God as He did. His mind was only on God. He knew His mission and destiny. When He was twelve He got lost in Jerusalem and three days later was found in the Temple. Luke 2:46-49 "Now, so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously." And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"

You must know your destiny and who you are in the Messiah. You have to make a decision to follow God and obey Him. This command is not for all those who are in the ministry only. Yeshua was a carpenter until He was about 30 years of age. He was working for Joseph. He was doing things with His own hands. This did not stop Him to know who He is and what mission He was supposed to do. Some of us complain, "Lord this job is heavy. I'm working too much! I don't have the time to pray and study the Word!" If we're going to set our mind like Yeshua had set His mind to do what is right, then we will have victory. When His time had come, He laid down the hammer and the saw and started His ministry. He went to the Jordon River, was immersed and then was lead by the Spirit to the wilderness to be tested. Just think, how much of a price Yeshua was willing to pay for the sake of doing God's will here on earth? When God speaks to us about certain requirements, the Lord knows exactly what He says. Have you ever thought why some people are more anointed than others? It is because they have chosen to follow God, to pay the price, and to do what He says. In Luke 4, the bible says that He came from the wilderness in the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, the Holy Spirit. It seems like He has reached that highest point and was ready to step into doing God’s will. We may think that He did not need anything else. He was ready! Yet throughout the remaining of His life on earth He was praying throughout the night and was in fellowship with God.

Keep the fire burning. Keep the Spirit floating. We need to spend time with God. Prayer meetings are good, twice a week, but your personal time with God is the most important prayer that you can have. It is at home, in your closet. That's where you become strong. It's when you spend time in the presence of Adonai. No distractions. It is just you and your God. There will come a time when the anointing becomes heavy on you. God releases the anointing by looking at your heart and life. The closer you are to the presence of God, the more anointing you will have. It's the presence of God that releases the anointing. It is possible for the Spirit of God to dwell inside of you but you have no anointing whatsoever.

People that don't spend time with God in prayer and in His Word have no anointing! The anointing comes from the presence of Adonai and nothing else! The anointing is the very power of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Adonai moves only by the affection of the presence of God. Not by what we may say. Not by what we may proclaim and declare. We may jump around and shout "Hallelujah, praise God!," but our life is full of sin and disobedience. The presence of God is an indicator of our spiritual life. If you are not pleasing God with your life, the Lord withdraws His presence. What happens to the Holy Spirit? He is waiting, he's suffering. That's why the bible says 1 Thessalonians 5:19 "Quench not the Holy Spirit."You may think that coming to Sabbath services is enough for God to touch you and change your life. My friend, this may never happen! We are supposed to carry the presence of God 24/7. You die to your past and to your flesh in the presence of God. When you spend time with God in His presence you will be a totally different person.

Let me give you a quick example. When we have great worship, you feel different. You feel encouraged and more powerful because you bring yourself closer to the presence of God. So the key to your total freedom is this my friend; it's not what you're doing for God, it's not how you're doing it, it's where you stand with God. Are you dying in your flesh? Let me close with this. In 1 Corinthians 1:25 we read, "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."The Word of God simply says that when we begin to enter into His presence more often, supernatural strength, wisdom and power comes to us by the spirit of Adonai. You can conquer every sin in the presence of God. There is fullness of joy in the presence of God. Therefore, it is possible to walk the walk of Yeshua on this earth if you will submit yourself to God as He did. Yeshua was able to keep Himself in submission to God until His very last breath of life. He was satisfied with everything He had. Communion and fellowship with God kept Him going. The Patriarchs recognized this and walked with God in the same way. From the time of the apostles, till the time of Constantine in 330 BC, the church of God walked in great power! People were constantly raised from the dead. There was such power on the believers in Yeshua! It is because the apostles left a great example of how to walk in the Spirit. There was a powerful body of the believers who overturned the world with the good news of the Messiah Yeshua! We need to come back to the presence of God. We are lacking desire, discipline, commitment and obedience.

Friends, let us get hungry for God and not for the things of this world. God loves you and He wants to bless you. He wants to release all His blessings upon you today. Let's go for it!

God bless you. Shalom!
